Our CareerActivation™ Program was specifically designed to help college graduate job seekers and is based on behavioral science research from the University of Minnesota. Our process is free for job seekers and has been designed to ensure that we understand each candidate’s unique skills, abilities, and career interests. Once you submit your resume, key steps may include:
Interview and Career Exploration
The first part of your interview with us is a behavioral-based interview where we identify your key transferable skills that have value in the workforce. In the second part, we perform a career exploration, including your career goals and interests, with an eye toward matching your skills with those goals. Additionally, we provide coaching – a critique of your current job search strategy and feedback on your resume, interview approach, and other important factors.
When we have a position that we think fits your background, we will describe it to you, have you research the company and the industry, and then ask you to confirm your interest and why. Our candidates find this step to be highly valuable and essential in truly understanding the opportunity and why we selected you.
Client Interview and Placement
With your interest confirmed, we present your background to the hiring company, confirm their interest, and schedule an interview for you. We will help you prepare for the interview and give you feedback after it is over. If selected by the client for the position, we will coordinate your on-boarding process.
Our behavioral-based interview uncovers your transferable skills: attributes such as critical thinking, motivation, leadership, and initiative. Many of these are “soft skills” that employers look for when hiring and can set you apart from the competition. Most importantly, these are the attributes that determine long-term career success. However, entry-level job seekers typically aren’t sure what their transferable skills are or how to describe them well in applications and interviews. That’s where we can help.
