Lyon points out that having cultural competence and global awareness are strong positives for a candidate, especially in today’s business environment where there’s a heavier focus on globalization and interconnectedness. To take full advantage of the experience, Lyon suggests a candidate must be able to properly articulate the skills gained during the international experience and how it will help them perform professionally.
